NOAH’S ARK – FACT OR FICTION?

Some time ago my brother asked me the question, “How did penguins make it from the Arctic to Noah’s vicinity in order to be saved from the flood.”  This is what came to my mind:
.
If God can implant the migratory instinct in birds, fish, etc., to migrate hundreds even thousands of miles and unerringly return to the same vicinity they departed from a year before – some even making the trip for the first time – then why couldn’t He implant in the minds of penguins to trek from wherever they were THEN – thousands of years ago – to Noah’s vicinity.  Pre-flood conditions differed widely from the conditions and landscape we see today.  And who knows who or what were the pre-flood ancestors of the penguin?
.
This is not to say there are not any lingering mysteries regarding just how the miracle of Noah’s ark was brought about.  I repeat: With God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.  God can bring the dead back to life, give sight to one born blind, flood the entire earth, etc., etc., etc.  God has no limits, no boundaries, no impossibilities
..
I can as readily accept the story of Noah and the flood as I can accept Jonah and the whale, or great fish, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, or any other miracle.  A miracle is a miracle.  It is an event that cannot be explained.  It shatters all arguments against its being true, factual or even believable.

IT’S SUNSET TIME

Who does this Don Wiley think he is to have the gall, the audacity, the impertinence to write articles and send them to literally HUNDREDS of ordained ministers throughout the United States, correcting them and showing them their errors??!!  Why the very nerve!  He thinks he has greater insight into spiritual truth than a Mormon bishop?  He thinks He understands better than a Roman Catholic cardinal?    Why he even has the temerity to correct a Baptist pastor!!!  How insulting can you get?
.
Folks, the average preacher doesn’t have the foggiest idea of just how the Lord “calls” someone to be a teacher of His Word.  I can’t count the number of times I have heard some preacher say, or write, how God called them to preach when they were nine, ten or twelve years old!  No wonder the Christian faith is divided and subdivided into scores of differing denominations, teaching a myriad of conflicting doctrines.
.
Anytime I hear some preacher say, “I don’t get my doctrine out of the Old Testament,” I know that I am listening to a grossly deceived individual.  Where on earth do they think the early church obtained their doctrine?  They had no New Testaments to flip through and quote.  Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God” (See Matthew 4:4).   Are the Hebrew scriptures inspired, or not.  When they wrote, “Thus saith the Lord,” were they kidding? dishonest? mistaken?  Did the words they wrote proceed out of the mouth of God or from their own deluded minds?
.
Few professing Christians really examine the scriptures closely thereby proving their beliefs.  They just gullibly, and yes blindly, accept whatever is spoon-fed them from the pulpit.  Their comfort level grows a thousand-fold when they realize most all of their fellow believers do the same and are in agreement with them as to what the Bible does and does not teach.  While whistling “Amazing Grace,” they slide deeper and deeper into confusion self-assured that all is well with their soul.

I AM A WALKING, TALKING MIRACLE

I am walking, talking, living PROOF that Jesus Christ still heals His faithful followers of any and all maladies, illnesses and diseases yet today. Listen, if I don’t have the faith to believe my Lord will heal my physical body while I yet live, how on earth can I have the faith to believe He will resurrect me from the grave when I am dead!!!! Lying on my deathbed I would be scared silly that this is the utter end, that there is nothing beyond this life and this world.

I feel as well today as I felt ten or twenty years ago! From time to time I experience the customary pains and limitations of anyone in advancing age. The apostle Paul conceded that “we that are in this tabernacle (fleshly bodies) do groan, being burdened” (See 2 Corinthians 5:4). We do experience sicknesses and ailments and injuries like other men. He spoke of how the “outward man” was perishing. Yes, our bodies do wear out to one degree or another. We are physical, aging beings. But he also wrote “that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men (depending upon their healing arts), but in the power of God (to both hear and answer our prayers for healing)” (See I Corinthians 2:5). And he also urged believers to mimic father Abraham who “staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able also to perform” (See Romans 4:20-21).

In countless articles, emails and website postings I have quoted text after Bible text that proves God will hear and answer the prayer for healing if offered up in faith by an obedient follower. God have mercy on and forgive the worldly-minded preachers and pastors who preach sermons that turn men and women away from believing God’s promises for healing. They will answer one day for their unfaithfulness and spurning of His Word and promises.

The apostle Paul declared that “the Word of God works effectually (or is effective) in you that believe” (See I Thessalonians 2:13). Do you want to insult God? Doubt His word. Your doubting suggests that God is a liar. Run to a man and throw your money at him and trust that man to heal you. He will make you no promise and will probably have you sign a form that releases him from any responsibility if you die from his treatment!

Think me a fool if you wish in such matters, but I’ll be blowing out a lot more birthday candles than many of my readers.

The apostle Paul had a fellow laborer named Epaphroditus, who became gravely ill and was nearing death. Notice what Paul wrote about this man: “I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and companion in labor, and fellow soldier, but our messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that you had heard that he had been sick. For indeed he was sick NIGH UNTO DEATH, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow…..when you see him again you may rejoice.” God had healed him. (See Philippians 2:25-28). And God is no respecter of persons. What he did for Paul and Epaphroditus he will do FOR YOU, and for me.

The Spirit of the Lord again witnesses to my heart and mind, “Don Wiley, you have the petition you have laid before your Lord. You are healed! Go your way rejoicing and tell others what the Lord has done for you.”

KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS AND LIVE

The Lord’s Spirit has been bringing so many Bible texts back to my mind that I am in a quandary as to what to write about next.  “For unto whom much is given, of him shall much be required” (Luke 12:48).  The Lord has given me a phenomenal memory concerning His Word.  He has also given me a remarkable understanding of that Word.  No, He has not given me infallibility in spiritual matters, but He has given me a great deal of light and truth
.
I have sent my printed articles to hundreds of pastors around the country – HUNDREDS!  I use the larger mailing envelopes so that I can send a minimum of three articles to each pastor.  NOT ONE PASTOR HAS REPLIED CORRECTING ME OR POINTING OUT ANY ERRORS IN WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN – NOT ONE!  I have had a couple pastors say they disagreed with something I wrote, but still failing to correct me or show where I was wrong.  They have just said they didn’t agree.  I have had pastors call me, email me, or tell me in person that they were blessed and enlightened by an article or articles they received.
.
As I have pointed out before, Jesus said, “One sows and another reaps.”  I am not a reaper.  I am a sower of the Word.  I rarely see the results of my labors.  The Lord’s reapers have the satisfaction of seeing God’s Word take effect in believers’ lives.  I do not.
.
Over and over again during His earthly ministry, Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”  In today’s lingo He would say, “I am going to tell it like it is and you can take it or leave it.”  On another occasion Jesus said, “Let these sayings sink down into your ears,” or, as we might say, “Hear and ponder well what I say.”  Many of Christ’s statements were the total opposite of what most commonly believed.  That was true then.  It is true yet today.  Jesus said, “My brethren are these which hear the word of God, AND DO IT!”  (See Luke 8:21).  Becoming a member of the household of God goes far beyond just believing some facts about God and Jesus Christ.  James warned, “But be ye DOERS of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (See James 1:22).  Pastors and preachers do their congregations no service when they assure them, “All you gotta do is believe.”  Jesus Himself said, “If you will enter into life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS!”  He then went on to quote six of those commandments so His hearers would know which commandments He spoke of.  (See Matthew 19:16-19).  Those commandments, of course, were the Ten Commandments.  Decades after the founding of the church and the establishment of the New Covenant, the apostle John wrote “here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (See Revelation 14:12).  The two go hand-in-hand.  True, genuine God-wrought faith inspires and enables one to keep God’s commandments – all of them.
.
And how does the Bible close?  “Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the (holy) city.”  There are but seven verses of scripture left in your Bible after that statement is made.  (See Revelation 22:14).  We had better make sure we have the right to reach forth our hand and take of the fruit of the tree of life
.
“For by grace are you saved through faith….”  Faith in what?  Faith in Jesus Christ!  Faith in what He said, believing what He said and then acting upon that belief.
.
Maybe when I am eighty years old I will find some of my readers saying, “I believe what you say, Don, and I am now acting on that belief.”  Time will tell.

TELL ME WHY

Don’t just tell me what you believe. Tell me WHY you believe it. Few who cling to Sunday observance can tell you why they do so, other than to say, “We honor Christ’s resurrection by observing Sunday as a holy day,” or they will say, “Christians have always observed Sunday as the Lord’s Day,” or “All these Christians can’t be wrong!” Ask them what scriptures they use as their authority and most look at you with a blank look. Some will have a text or two they will quote that seemingly authorizes their stand, but when one quotes to them a plethora of scripture that reveals their erroneous thinking their steely-eyed look lets you know instantly that they are not listening, nor are they receiving what you say.

The Mormon boys that used to visit me often showed me that vacant look when I quoted scriptures to them that revealed their many errors and doctrinal blunders. Once a Mormon, always a Mormon. Once a_________, always a _________. You can fill in those blanks with any denomination you wish. Most folks never change their religious beliefs or affiliations. They just don’t. They are complacent as to their peril. “Well, that’s the way Mom (or Dad, or Billy Graham) believed and that’s the way I believe, and that’s that.” It’s like the man driving in the absolute wrong direction to get to his destination who refuses to pull over and look at a map. He just keeps driving and driving and driving not realizing he is going further and further away from the destination he desires

God preserves my life and heals me again and again for a purpose. He has filled my mind with His sacred word. He has given me the talent to write convincingly and effectively. He has anointed me to teach His word. In His great compassion He desires earnestly to open the eyes of those blinded by Satan’s clever deceptions. But He will not force feed the truth to anyone any where at any time. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

THE ATHEIST IS A FOOL! (PART 2)

Thousands of years ago God, through His prophet Jeremiah, said something truly astounding. Here is what He said: “Thus saith the LORD, ‘If heaven above can be measured and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done….'” (See Jeremiah 31:37). It wasn’t until the 20th Century and the scientific astronomical technology provided by various observatories, the Hubble telescope, and space exploration spacecraft such as Voyager I and Voyager 2, as well as the Mariner space exploration spacecraft, that men came to realize that, in truth, heaven cannot be measured. It is seemingly infinite. And it wasn’t until recent centuries that men learned that truly the earth has no foundations, that it is a planetary globe hanging in space.

God inspired the prophet Isaiah to write: “It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth” (See Isaiah 40:22). It would be thousands of years before men realized that this earth truly was circular in form and shape.

And in Job 26:7, we read, “He hangs the earth upon NOTHING!” It is only through divine illumination and inspiration these ancients knew the earth was a globe, hanging suspended in space and that the heavens above could not be measured they were so vast!

Truly, the fool has said in his heart there is no God! And comparing the Koran to the Bible is similar to one comparing a first grader’s Tom and Jane book to the encyclopedia Britannica.

Christ’s Servant (Galatians 1:10),

A GOD BY ANY OTHER NAME

Do you know what Jesus meant when He said, “I am the first and the last”?  (See Revelation 1:11).  He first uttered those words through His prophet Isaiah, and it is when He uttered those words through Isaiah He explains what He means by that phrase: “I am the first, and I am the last, AND BESIDE ME THERE IS NO GOD!”  (See Isaiah 44:6).  God tells Israel, as well as you and me, “I am the first God you will ever know, and I am the last God you will ever know for beside me there is no God.”
.
The Hebrew prophets contain the key to understanding the Book of Revelation.  Trying to understand the Book of Revelation without resorting to the writings of the Hebrew prophets is like trying to understand higher mathematics without a grasp of basic math.  That is WHY most “New Testament” churches have no real comprehension of the Book of Revelation.  (By the way, no church in the New Testament was ever called a “New Testament Church.”  Surprised???)  They spurn the Hebrew prophets.  They will not use the key God provides for a correct understanding of the apostle John’s final letter.  Remember, the book of which we speak is the book of REVELATION, not the Book of Concealment or Book of Mysteries.
.
Allah is NOT God by another name.  Allah is not the arabic name of the Creator.  Over and over again the Koran (or Quran) categorically states that Allah has no son.  Those who worship Allah unwittingly are worshiping Satan and his hosts of demons.  “But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God…” (See I Corinthians 10:20).  When a blind and deceived Muslim sacrifices his, or her, life as a martyr to Allah, they are actually offering themselves in sacrifice to Satan and his demons.  They do not instantly find themselves in paradise.  They find themselves DEAD!
 .
The Las Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock, has given ISIS a new way of slaughtering innocent human beings.  In the days ahead you will find Muslim terrorists using Paddock’s method of killing.  Why ram a car or truck into a crowd when only a handful of lives are lost?  Find a vantage point overlooking a gathering of thousands and start firing automatic weapons into the crowd.  It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.
.
ALL Muslims are satanically deceived.  Many Muslims are demonically inspired or controlled.  Some Muslims are demon possessed.  And that is what Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama wanted desperately to introduce into the United States more and more.  When Barack Obama said that the Muslim call to prayer was one of the prettiest sounds on earth I then knew without a doubt that he was both a Muslim and the most deceived and dangerous president this nation ever elected.  And millions of deceived American voters elected him twice.
.
Folks, it ain’t going to get any better in this nation or the world.  And Christians aren’t going to be “raptured out” of the situation.   The years and decades will pass and Christians will find themselves still in the flesh, still on earth, and still the objects of Allah’s wrath.  And, just as American voters have been deceived, so, too, have Christian ministers and pastors been deceived when they assure believers they are going to miss it all by the “rapture.”  There ain’t going to be no rapture.  There is only the Second Coming of our Lord, and that is going to prove to be an event scheduled for another generation, not our own.

ISRAEL’S INEVITABLE DEFEAT

Few preachers it seems have ever really comprehended the true meaning and disturbing prophecy Jesus Christ uttered upon His very last visit to the temple in Jerusalem.  Here is what He said: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee.  How often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and ye would not (would not permit Him to do so)!  Behold, your house (the temple) is left unto you desolate, for I say unto you (yes, the One who always speaks eternal truth is speaking), Ye shall not see me henceforth (ever again), till ye shall say, ‘Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord'” (See Matthew 23:37-39).
Now think about what Jesus just said for a moment, and then reflect upon the fact that Hitler’s slaughter of six million Jews could not bring the Jewish people to abandon their rejection of Jesus as their Messiah.  What will it take for them to finally, earnestly, wholeheartedly cry out to Jesus, “We accept you.  Please come back Messiah”?  I’ll tell you what it is going to take.  It is going to take the near annihilation of the Jewish people around the world and the destruction of modern day Israel to finally bring them to the foot of the cross and acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Messiah, Lord and Savior!
Look at a map.  Israel is now almost totally surrounded by fervent Islamic nations – nations that proclaim Israel has no right to exist and must eventually be destroyed.  And destroyed it will be.  Maybe not in our lifetime, maybe not in this century, but it will be attacked by Muslim armies, navies and air power and destroyed.
Why won’t preachers believe the prophet Zechariah?  Through him, Jesus declared, “Behold, the day of the Lord cometh (the day of His return) and thy (Jerusalem and Israel’s) spoil (riches and wealth) shall be divided in the midst of thee (not carried away to the conquering Islamic nations, but divided among these conquerors who are remaining in Jerusalem and occupying the city).  For I (Jesus Himself) will gather all nations (then Islamic) AGAINST JERUSALEM to battle, AND THE CITY SHALL BE TAKEN (understand that, accept that – Israel WILL BE DEFEATED in this future war), and the houses rifled, and the women ravished (raped by godless Muslims), and half of the city shall go forth into captivity (conquering Muslims enslave those they conquer), and the residue of the people (the few who survive) shall not be cut off from the city (will be left in Jerusalem to contemplate their horrible fate).” (See Zechariah 14:1-2).  And what will be the result?  They will then finally cry out, “Come, Lord Jesus!”  And what is plainly stated in the very next verse of Zechariah 14?  “THEN shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those (Islamic) nations, as when He fought in the day of battle.  And His feet shall stand in that (very) day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem….” (see verses 3 and 4).
And to what “battle” do you think this prophet refers when He says the returning Lord will fight again as He fought in a previous day of battle?  See Revelation 12:7-17.
So could Jesus Christ return tonight or tomorrow, or next week?  NO!  Zechariah’s prophecy, as well as prophecies given in the gospel accounts, Daniel, Revelation and Paul’s writings precludes that possibility.  But some may argue, “Doesn’t the Bible say no one knows the day or hour of Christ’s return?”  Yes, it does.  And no one can pinpoint the day and hour of his return.  But those who know Christ’s words uttered through His anointed prophets and apostles know when He won’t return.  He won’t return until all relevant prophecies have been fulfilled.  Those who say all necessary prophecies have been fulfilled ARE WRONG AND DECEIVED BY SATAN IN THIS MATTER.
If my neighbor vacationing in Spain calls me and asks me to pick him up at the local airport when he arrives, I might not know the exact time of his arrival at that moment, but I do know it is not necessary for me to hop in my car and hightail it to the airport.  He is coming from Spain.  It is going to take some time for him to check out of his hotel, hop a cab to the Madrid airport, fly thousands of miles to America, etc.  I might not know the exact moment he will arrive.  I do know when he won’t arrive.  He won’t arrive in a few hours that’s for sure.  Likewise, I do not know when Jesus Christ will return.  I DO know when He won’t return.  He won’t return until all prophecy relevant to His return has been fulfilled to the letter.
None born human is immune to Satan’s deceiving power and influence – NONE!  God help all who read my words to understand and to really and truly PROVE all things of a spiritual nature and to stop swallowing hook, line and sinker the party line of their given denomination or their pastor’s erroneous teachings.  Many pastors and preachers are morally good men, clean living, kind-hearted and intelligent, but in their religious beliefs they hold a lot of error.  Ditto for any denomination’s religious instructors.
I learned a long time ago that once a given denomination accepts some doctrine as scriptural they will hold to that doctrine and teaching always and ever.  It becomes dogma, sacrosanct, not to be questioned.  Something to think about, folks.

JESUS IS COMING – SOON?

Most of the pastors and preachers of this world are unwittingly preparing their congregations for eventual failure and defeat! “Jesus is coming soon,” they cry. “The end is near,” they say. “We are living in the last days right now,” they claim. Most seem totally oblivious to the fact that preachers have been making that claim not for a few years, or decades, BUT FOR CENTURIES!

“Well, He’s closer to coming now than He was ten or twenty years ago,” they argue. And that is true. But it is true in the same sense you are closer to your destination an hour after beginning your journey than you were when you first started, but what if your destination is San Francisco and you have begun your journey from your home in New Jersey? Still, you have a long, long way to go.

How are Christian congregations being prepared for defeat, you ask?  When the decades continue to slip by and Christianity finds Islam growing more widespread and violent, gaining more and more territory and adherents, with more and more Christians slaughtered and beheaded many Christians will throw in the towel and concede, “We have been wrong. Jesus is not coming back. If the end is near, then it is the end of Christianity.”

If you are advanced in age, you probably don’t have a lot to worry about regarding Islam. It is the next generation, and the next, and the next that will suffer unspeakable atrocities and horrors. Those inhabitants of earth at that time will find comfort, peace and safety only in proportion to their submission to Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives. Even then, many will suffer martyrdom, but at least will have the hand of God to comfort and sustain them in their trials.

The handwriting is written on the wall in fiery letters. I read it long ago. Nor am I alone. Many others see clearly what I see, but we are in the extreme minority. I am but one watchman on that wall.

If preachers would just quit parroting one another, holding to the party line, so to speak, and finally allow the scriptures to say what they so plainly say, more and more of them would have to concede this present generation is NOT the generation that will witness Christ’s return to planet earth.

Again and again I have categorically stated that there is not an infant alive on earth today that can possibly live long enough to witness Christ’s return in their own lifetime. Your Bible clearly states that at the time of the end, the time immediately preceding Christ’s return every nation on earth will be followers of a great false religion, and that religion will be Islam.  Any remaining Christians at that time will be hated of ALL nations! They will be hated in America, England, Australia, Norway, Denmark, Scotland – ALL NATIONS!  They will be beheaded!  (See Matthew 24:7-11 and Revelation 20:4).

Folks, Satan’s deceptive powers are staggering. He horribly deceived the wisest man who ever lived – Solomon.  Billy Graham and Charles Stanley are not immune to his deceptive influence, neither am I, or you.  But we must allow the Word of God to say what it says and accept its message. When the Bible says, “The dead know nothing,” we must accept that as a fact.  When God told Adam and Eve, “Dust you are and to dust you shall return,” we must believe Him. He created us and He says He created us of purely chemical stuff.  We ARE physical beings.  We are a soul, which in the original Hebrew means we are “living, breathing creatures.” We have a spirit, but no scripture says our spirits are immortal and consciously aware after we die, only that our spirits return to God when we die, the spirits of all born human, saved and unsaved.

What is the purpose of a resurrection if we never really and truly die but “go to be with Jesus” the instant we breathe our last? Why resurrect a fleshly, long decayed and disintegrated physical body if one survives death in a spirit body?  Would a black person still be black?  Would a white person still be white?  Would a midget still stand but two feet tall?

This world’s inhabitants have been inundated with false concepts and religious beliefs, and, for the most part, they just will not let them go. “All these people can’t be wrong,” they argue. All what people? All these Muslims? All these atheists? All these Roman Catholics or Mormons or Baptists?

Make no mistake.  Jesus Christ IS coming back someday, but the day of His return is not as near as many have been led to believe.  Nearly two thousand years ago the apostle Paul was confronted with this issue.  Believers in Thessalonica had misconstrued something Paul had said in the first letter he had written to them and, therefore thought Jesus Christ could return at any moment.  Paul then wrote them a second letter, saying, “Now we beseech you, brethren, by (or, concerning) the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him (at THAT time – not at the moment of our death)….Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come except 1) there come a falling away first (Christians abandoning Christianity in great numbers), and 2) that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts Himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he IS God.  Remember you not that when I was with you I told you these things?  And now you know what withholds (Jesus’ return) that He might be revealed in His time” (See 2 Thessalonians 2:1, 3-6).

Notice that Paul plainly tells the Thessalonian believers that two distinct and easily recognizable events MUST occur before Jesus Christ’s return: 1) There must be a great falling away from Christianity, and 2) one who exalts himself above God must sit in the temple of God thereby showing that he himself is God!  Folks, that temple hasn’t even been built yet!  So, calm down, Jesus won’t be “breaking through the blue” before you finish reading this article.  So go ahead and buy that house or car on time.  You will have time enough to enjoy and pay for it before our Lord’s return.

What A Future!

No one born human will ever outgive God.  No spirit being existing now or that has ever existed will ever outgive God.  Our Creator, who created all things by Jesus Christ, stated clearly and unequivocally many centuries ago through His anointed prophet Isaiah: “You (members of the human family) will seek me and you will find me when you search for me with all your heart.”
.
To all born human God avows, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.  You are mine.  I have bought you with a price – the shed blood of my beloved and ever obedient Son, Jesus Christ.”  No human who has ever drawn breath has ever been forgotten by God – no Chinese peasant, no aboriginal Australian, no Babylonian slave – NO ONE!  Though dealing primarily with His elect sons and daughters since Adam and Eve, still He allows that whosoever will may come to Him and have a relationship with Him.  Those cut off from him since that first pair heard His voice, those blinded and deceived by a myriad of false concepts, beliefs and religions die lost TEMPORARILY.  Their call and invitation to join the great family of God is future.  All those in the graves, all those long ago disintegrated and returned to dust, will someday hear the call to come forth from oblivion.  And they, too, will have a grand and wondrous opportunity to be redeemed, given God’s Spirit and at last granted eternal life.
.
Perfected love casts out all fear – fear of disease, fear of death, fear of defeat and failure.  I view my grave in Lexington as a mere place to lie down and take my rest in deep, profound sleep.  It is a bed from which I shall someday arise.  Interred in the earth a natural, physical body, I shall arise an eternal spirit being and I shall be like Him, a life-giving spirit.  What a hope!  What a future!
