False Christianity

The 144,000

I will go ahead and share some insight the Lord has given me regarding the 144,000 spoken of in Revelation 7 and Revelation 14.  Some time ago I wrote and posted to my website a series of articles (twenty-three in all) I  entitled “The God of Israel.”  In those articles I explained how truly converted men and women become spiritual Israelites in God’s eyes, no longer viewed by Him as being gentiles.  Many ministers of various denominations see this truth and preach the same to their congregations, but they don’t follow through with their thinking or study in this matter.  They seem to forget that fleshly, that is literal, Israel was comprised of twelve tribes.  If they followed through with their thinking and study of God’s Word, they would realize that spiritual Israel, likewise, is comprised of twelve tribes!  There is one major difference, though, between literal fleshly Israel and spiritual Israel.  Most of the literal Israelites of ages past KNEW what tribe to which they belonged.  (The apostle Paul writes of how he belonged to the tribe of Benjamin.  See Romans 11:1 and Philippians 3:4-5.  Anna, the prophetess, spoken of in Luke 2:36, was of the tribe of Asher.  Jesus, of course, was of the tribe of Judah and was called the Lion of the tribe of Judah).  Spiritual Israel does NOT know to which tribe they belong!  We will not know to which tribe we belong until the Lord returns.

It’s a wonder more preachers haven’t noticed that the holy city, New Jerusalem, spoken of and somewhat described in Revelation 21, has TWELVE gates “and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel” (See Revelation 21:12).  There is no gate for the gentiles as converted gentiles become spiritual Israelites, no longer gentiles (see Ephesians 2:11-14 and 19).  Spiritual Israelites will then enter into the holy city, New Jerusalem, through the gate assigned to their particular tribe, whatever tribe that might be.  The 144,000 are not literal Israel.  They are spiritual Israel.  How do I know this to be a fact?  Let me name for you the names of the twelve literal tribes of Israel: 1) Judah, 2) Reuben, 3) Gad, 4) Asher, 5) Naphtali, 6) Manasseh, 7) Simeon, 8) EPHRAIM, 9) DAN, 10) Issachar, 11) Zebulun, and 12) Benjamin.  Now let me name for you the twelve spiritual tribes of Israel named in Revelation 7: 1) Judah, 2) Reuben, 3) Gad, 4) Asher, 5) Naphtali, 6) Manasseh, 7) Simeon, 8) LEVI, 9) Issachar, 10) Zebulun, 11) JOSEPH, and 12) Benjamin.

Do you see the difference.  I capitalized tribes that differ.  Any insightful Bible student, in reading Revelation 7 closely and carefully, should have quickly realized, “Hey, these aren’t the twelve literal tribes of Israel!”  Of course, the only alternative explanation is that they must be and are the twelve spiritual tribes of Israel.  There was no literal tribe of “Joseph.”  The division of tribes began with his sons Ephraim and Manasseh and they became two separate tribes.  The tribe of Dan is not mentioned as one of the spiritual tribes of Israel because it was the tribe of Dan that first led Israel into idolatry.  (See Judges 18:30-31).  {What you are getting here in this mini-article took me decades to piece together.  You are receiving this spiritual revelation in minutes}.

Further PROOF that the 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 7 and Revelation 14 are NOT literal Israel is provided in verse 4 of Revelation 7.  That verse reads: “And I (John) heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand of ALL the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed.”  Well, look at the list one more time.  The tribe of Dan is omitted and the tribe of Ephraim is omitted.  Well, how on earth do you come up with the names of twelve tribes if two tribes are omitted.  As explained Joseph, the father of Ephraim is named in place of Ephraim, and Levi, the priestly tribe is named when actually Levi was not included in the naming of the twelve tribes since they were the priestly tribe and members thereof were scattered throughout the twelve tribes in order to serve their priestly function for all of Israel!  Hence, when John says he heard the names of ALL the tribes of Israel, he, being a literal fleshly Israelite, knew that he was then naming the twelve spiritual tribes of Israel.

Now, thus far we know that these 144,000 are NOT converted Jews, that they are spiritual Israelites, hence truly converted Christians.  Some may be Chinese, some Arabs, some white Americans, some black Americans.  They could be any member of the human family – any member that is truly converted AND A TRUE OVERCOMER!  Notice some other identifying characteristics of these 144,000 sealed believers.  Verse 3 of Revelation 7 states that they are “the servants of our God.”  Each and every one of these 144,000 are workers for God and His cause here on earth.  The Bible does identify a handful of them.  (More about this later).  But they are culled out of, gleaned from each and every generation beginning probably with Noah or, possibly, Abel.  (Remember Adam and Eve were not overcomers.  They were driven out of the Garden of Eden for rebelling against God and following Satan’s suggestions.  But we are given even more revealing information about these 144,000 dedicated followers of God and Jesus Christ in the first five verses of Revelation 14.  Note: “Then I (John) looked, and behold, a Lamb (Jesus) standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads (symbolism meaning their minds are continually fixed on God, on serving and obeying Him).  (See verse 1).  And then in verse 3, we read: “They sang as it were a new song (and notice the wording, “as it were a new song.”  It is not a new song really, but a song penned thousands of years previously by none other than Moses himself).  (See Revelation 15:3 with Deuteronomy 31:19-30 and Deuteronomy 32:1-44).

But it is verses 4 and 5 of Revelation 14 that gives the greatest insight into just who comprises these 144,000 redeemed servants of God.  These two verses, more than any other, help us zero in on what criteria places a redeemed man or woman in the number of these 144,000 spiritual Israelites.

Understanding just WHO the 144,000 are goes a long way in explaining WHY the apostles thought the return of Jesus Christ was imminent, that He might well return during their own lifetime – two thousand years ago.  Many, not understanding the identity of these 144,000 servants of God, thought that the apostles erred, or didn’t know what they were talking about when they said such things as “the end of all things is at hand,” and “the time is at hand,” “the night is far spent, the day is at hand,” and “behold, the Judge is standing at the door,” and similar statements.  (See I Peter 4:7; Revelation 1:3; Romans 13:12; James 5:9).

Early on in his ministry, the apostle Paul evidently saw himself as still being alive at Christ’s return, as he wrote the believers in Thessalonica, “For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, THAT WE WHO ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN (remain ALIVE) until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede (meet the Lord before) those who are asleep (those who have died).  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.  And the dead in Christ will rise first, then WE WHO ARE ALIVE and remain shall be caught up together with them (those who have died and are now resurrected) in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And thus we shall always be with the Lord” (See I Thessalonians 4:15-17).

The apostles always spoke from the position of faith.  They knew the Lord was going to return.  They knew the Lord was working mightily among them, converting men and women far and wide, bringing them in to the household of faith.  They knew what John understood, that the Lord was preparing a “firstfruits” company of overcomer believers.  They probably also knew what John understood, and that was the revelation that the Lord would return when He had 144,000 priest/kings culled from humanity to serve with and under Him in fulfilling the will of God.  Speaking from the standpoint of absolute faith, they at first thought this number would be completed in their own lifetime.  But as you read their final epistles, you find that they realized that number was definitely not going to be completed in their own lifetime as a great falling away had occurred.  When Jesus said no man knew the day or hour of His return it was based on the fact that no one could possibly know when the final overcomer had been produced.

The BIBLE definition of an overcomer describes the 144,000 to a tee.  All those in Christ are actually in the running, so to speak, to be one of the 144,000.  You could be one.  I could be one.  Any truly converted believer is eligible to join the ranks of the 144,000.  The ball is in our court.  Are we going to go for it, or not?  You would think by now the number of overcomers would surely total 144,000, even 144 million.  Not so fast.  Wait till you see the Bible definition of an overcomer.  Then you might think, “Uh oh!  It might be another hundred years or more before that number of overcomers is achieved!”  And you might be right…..

Before touching on the BIBLE DEFINITION of an “overcomer,” I will cite for you a few examples of overcomers in the scriptures, men and women who definitely are members of the 144,000 SPIRITUAL Israelites spoken of in Revelation, chapters 7 and 14.  You shouldn’t be too surprised at some of them I will name.  Beginning at verse 1 of chapter 1 of Luke’s gospel account, Luke states that he is about to relate some things “which are most surely believed among us” (among the early believers as Luke is writing this account thirty years or more after the founding of God’s church).  He then states how he “had perfect understanding of all things (that he is about to relate) from the very first” (verse 2).  Now notice what Luke says the early church firmly believed: “There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias (father of John the Baptist), of the course of Abia (the group of priests who officiated at the temple for a definite prescribed time), and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron (a direct descendant of God’s first High Priest), and her name was Elisabeth.”  (That is verse 5, but now look at what Luke states categorically and matter-of-factly in verse 6): ” And they were both righteous before God (and God looks on the heart and sees it all), walking in ALL the commandments and ordinances of the Lord BLAMELESS.”

Those who say God’s commandments cannot be kept are deceived and do the devil’s work for him.  Why strive to keep God’s commandments if such is impossible.  It’s a ridiculous concept.  And think about this, Zacharias and Elisabeth were keeping ALL the commandments and ordinances of the Lord BLAMELESSLY at that period of time when the added law of Moses was still in full force and effect.  They weren’t just keeping the Ten Commandments.  They were faithfully keeping ALL THE LAW OF MOSES’.  Think about that for a moment.  God have mercy on those deceived “preachers” who teach and have taught down through the Christian era that God’s Ten Commandments were abolished at the cross as they were impossible to keep anyway.
I said you shouldn’t be surprised at some of these overcomers named in scripture.  Here is another one that shouldn’t surprise you.  To Isaac, son of Abraham, God said, “I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven (no exaggeration, folks), and will give unto thy seed all these countries, and in thy seed (Jesus) shall all the nations of the earth be blessed (not cursed, but blessed), because that ABRAHAM OBEYED MY VOICE, AND KEPT MY CHARGE, MY COMMANDMENTS, MY STATUTES, AND MY LAWS” (See Genesis 26:1-5).  A lot of deceived ministers make a liar out of God when they tell their Biblically ignorant, unsuspecting congregations that no one can keep God’s law perfectly or blamelessly.  I guess, had they been standing there when God said that to Isaac, they would have shouted Him down and said, “You lie!  You lie!”  Are you beginning to see why it is taking a long, long time for God to assemble His precious 144,000?
By the way, let me make this clear before we go any further.  Millions and millions inherit eternal life besides these 144,000.  Millions and millions enter the Kingdom of God besides these 144,000.  Millions and millions are full-fledged sons and daughters of God besides these 144,000.  The 144,000 are the “cream of the crop,” so to speak.  In every sense of the word they are overcomers, having overcome their human frailties and passions, what has been called the old nature or sin nature, and having overcome Satan’s deceptions.  Revelation 14:4-5 describes them as “they which were not defiled with women (the great harlot and her daughters spoken of in Revelation chapter 17) for they are virgins (pure from any taint of spiritual defilement).  These are they which follow the Lamb (Jesus Christ their LORD) wherever He goes (truly walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ).  THESE WERE REDEEMED FROM AMONG MEN (mankind as a whole, whites, blacks, yellow-skinned, etc.), being THE FIRSTFRUITS unto God and to the Lamb.  And in their mouth was found no guile (no deceit, no lying.  If and when they speak on the things of God, they are 100% correct and right on in what they say), for they are WITHOUT FAULT (BLAMELESS) before the throne of God (where they will then serve once resurrected).”
Let me name for you three more Bible personalities that will surely be among their number.  ” MOSES and AARON among His priests, and SAMUEL among them that call upon His name.  They called upon the Lord, and He answered them (due to their close, continuous relationship with God).  He spoke unto them (Moses and Aaron) in the cloudy pillar.  THEY KEPT HIS TESTIMONIES, AND THE ORDINANCE THAT HE GAVE THEM” (See Psalm 99:6-7).  Early on in their relationship with God they indeed sinned, as did Zacharias and Elisabeth and Abraham, as ALL have sinned and fallen short of God’s precepts and demands.  (See the very next verse in Psalm 99).  But all of these men and women grew in grace and knowledge as we are COMMANDED to do in scripture.  And, in time, they came to walk with God blamelessly – not sinning one day and repenting the next.
It is of this overcomer group of believers Paul alludes to when he writes, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended (attained), but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark (that mark being this group of 144,000) for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect (or perfected), be thus minded….” (See Philippians 3:12-15).
I still haven’t fully fleshed out the Bible’s full description of what scripture calls an overcomer.  God willing, I shall do that in my next posting regarding the 144,000.  God help you to see and understand is my prayer.

The Regathering of the Jews to Israel

Doesn’t the Bible speak of the regathering of the Jews to their ancient homeland?  YES!  Quite expansively.  But that regathering occurs AFTER the return of Jesus Christ and is supernatural.  It includes the resurrection of all of the Jews and their companion tribes, who have died down through the centuries!  The elect of God, at that time resurrected themselves and then immortal spirit beings, will assist in this regathering.  SO SAYS YOUR BIBLE!
I will write a lengthy article on this subject and post it to my website.  Any regathering prior to the Jews acceptance of Jesus as their true Messiah is a diabolic regathering initiated by Satan’s deceptions and can only result in the near annihilation of the Jewish people.  Satan will attempt to complete the job he started with Adolph Hitler!
Yes, I was awakened again unable to sleep one more minute as the above thoughts and many related thoughts cascaded through my mind.  Am I alone in what I see in this matter?  NO!  There are many thousands of believers who see this truth as clearly as I do.  Any truly anointed teacher of God’s Word sees this matter the same.  God’s prophets, apostles, and teachers of all ages and all centuries see eye to eye in such matters.  God doesn’t counterwork Himself, inspiring one truly called and anointed teacher to view the scriptures one way and another teacher to have a different view.  We are not infallible, but we ARE in agreement one with another.
Please give my website a boost via your Facebook pages, emails, twitter accounts, whatever.  Some of you have the capacity to spread my website to scores in a moment of time.  Some of them will then do the same.  It will have a cascading effect and my website will have hundreds, if not thousands, of hits almost overnight.  My own puny efforts has already succeeded in many dozens visiting my website.

The God of Israel-Part 1

My older brother Sherman and my Dad had no interest in the things of God.  They were no different from the overwhelming majority of mankind in this regard.  Most have no interest in spiritual matters.  False Christianity would say they died lost, doomed, condemned.  But, if at some point in their lives, regardless of how distant, or how early on, they had confessed with their mouth that they believed Jesus died for their sins, then they died saved – however with few if any rewards awaiting them in heaven, or so says false Christianity.  False Christianity says there are but two types, or categories, of human beings on this earth: 1) the saved (which they say would include Sherman and Dad had they “believed on Jesus” at some point in their earthly existence), and 2) the lost (which would include everyone else – all those who had not confessed by mouth Jesus as their Lord and Savior, in short most of humanity, most all who have ever been born).

The God of Israel-Part 2

We recommend starting with Part 1 of this series.

Continuing with our discussion about the huge masses of mankind that will eventually be redeemed and become part of the eternal family of God.  Folks, we need to give our Creator a little credit regarding this matter of salvation.  We need to stop seeing Satan as far more powerful than God in this matter.  False Christianity sees a great battle raging between God and Satan – God doing His best to get everybody saved while Satan is doing his best to get, or keep, everybody lost and Satan winning the battle hands down.  At the end of it all, they could easily see Satan saying to God, “Let’s do it all over again with another earth, or planet, and another race of peoples.  After all, I won, and won big time and will surely win again!”

Why can’t the religious-minded think and think a bit more deeply than they quite obviously do, or don’t do???  Remember, God had all of eternity past to think about this grand scheme of creating mankind and extending to us humans the invitation to become heirs of eternal life and members of His heavenly kingdom.  He surely had the insight and intelligence to consider long and hard every single eventuality and situation that might present Him with an obstacle in accomplishing His desire and to devise a means of overcoming each and every one of those obstacles.  It would matter not whether you were born deaf, dumb and blind, or born into a family and nation that embraced pagan deities.  It would matter not if you were born a hundred years after Adam, or a hundred years before Noah, or two centuries before Christ’s birth, or the son of a Muslim terrorist.  The circumstances, time or place of your birth would not be the slightest obstacle to the God with whom all things are possible!  Can’t you see that?  Can’t you believe that?  It wouldn’t matter if you lived only six years, sixteen years or sixty years.  Death is no obstacle to God.  NOTHING human mind can devise or think of presents an obstacle to God in His accomplishing His desire.  That is WHY Jesus Christ “by the grace of God should taste death FOR EVERY MAN (Greek, “every person” – male, female, young, old, all races, etc.).  (See Hebrews 2:9).

I assure you Jesus Christ did not shed His blood needlessly!  “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall ALL (that same all that died in Adam) be made alive (by Christ’s sacrificial death on Calvary)” (See I Corinthians 15:22).  Jesus Christ died for Geronimo and Ghengis Kahn as surely as He died for Queen Elizabeth and the rabbi across town.   He tasted the second death for the Aztec maiden sacrificed a thousand years ago as surely as He tasted death for Billy Graham or Mother Theresa!  And, believe this for it is true, NO ONE is going to get a better shot at salvation, a better chance at inheriting eternal life than anyone else.  Not even John the Baptist, Jesus Christ’s own cousin who grew up with Him and heard Him expound the truths of God with his own ears.  NO ONE will ever shake their fist in God’s face and be able to say, “I never had as good an opportunity as your cousin.  I never had a chance at all.”  NO ONE!  To be continued…

The God of Israel-Part 3

We recommend starting with Part 1 of this series.

Are you wondering yet why I have entitled this series of articles “The God of Israel?”  It is because one must see that God is, was and ever shall be the God of Israel in order to fully see the plan of salvation that our Creator describes for us in the scriptures, especially in the scriptures He inspired the prophets of ancient Israel to pen and preserve.  Those who say they do not get their doctrine from the Hebrew scriptures not only show their profound spiritual ignorance, but they also cut themselves off from ever having the God of Israel reveal to their minds just what He is doing here on this planet we call earth.  God chose Israel for a specific and particular reason.  Continue reading “The God of Israel-Part 3”

The God of Israel-Part 4

We recommend starting with Part 1 of this series.

The apostle Peter was inspired of God to make this statement, as recorded in 2 Peter, chapter 3, verse 9: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise (to return in glory) as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to usward (toward humanity), NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE.”  Note well that easy to understand statement of God’s apostle.  God is not willing that ANY should miss out on eternal life.  He wants everyone born human to someday come to repent of going the way of the flesh and bow to the guidance and influence of His Son, whom He sent to this earth to be the Savior of the world!  Jesus Christ died for every Chinese peasant who helped build the Great Wall of China.  God is not willing to lose one Amazon Indian tribesman – not even those who lived and died in centuries past.  Not one!  Continue reading “The God of Israel-Part 4”

The God of Israel-Part 5

We recommend starting with Part 1 of this series.

A gross MISunderstanding of Romans Chapter 1 has caused blinded men and women to believe all who have ever lived have already had their fair chance at salvation.  Satan’s unrelenting grip upon their minds has prevented them from seeing that such a belief is absolutely ridiculous.  But doesn’t Romans 1 say that “they are without excuse?”  Yes, it does say that, using those exact words in the King James Version of the Bible.  But the “they” referred to in that text is not referring to all the inhabitants of the earth but to THE JEWS, God’s chosen people!  When reading the letters of Paul, one needs to ever keep in mind this warning given by the apostle Peter in his second epistle: “And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation (or, is meant to result in mankind’s salvation), even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things (regarding the salvation of mankind), in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned (in the scriptures – ignoring the Hebrew scriptures illumination) and unstable (spiritually) wrest (twist, misinterpret), as they do also the other scriptures (penned by the prophets and our Lord’s apostles), unto their own (spiritual) destruction” (See 2 Peter 3:15-16).  Continue reading “The God of Israel-Part 5”

The God Of Israel-Part 6

We recommend starting with Part 1 of this series.

The series The God Of Israel begins with Part 1. Please start there by entering The God Of Israel-Part 1 in the “search” area.  Part 5 concluded with the statement that Paul was speaking of the Jewish nation in Romans 1:20 when he says these people of whom he speaks were without excuse for they were unthankful to God for His having revealed Himself to them.  Comparing scripture with scripture, it is further enlightening to us when we consider these inspired statements made by God’s prophets in the Hebrew scriptures: “You ONLY have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities” (Amos 3:2).  And just WHO is God addressing there?  Verse 1: “Hear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, against the whole family (all 12 tribes) which I brought up from the land of Egypt…”  Notice that God says He had revealed Himself ONLY to the people of Israel.   Continue reading “The God Of Israel-Part 6”
