Now there’s an appealing doctrine: FORGIVEN! The true God of glory is merciful beyond human comprehension. Allah, the arch-demon posing as the Eternal, lacks mercy. Deceived Muslims call their moon god “merciful,” but he is not. That is why they show no mercy, brutally killing even children and mothers in labor. In committing such atrocities their blinded minds cannot see that the “god” they serve and worship is without mercy and actually the author of death, not life.
Forgiven! Decades of sins wiped out! Decades of bad choices obliterated from the mind of one’s Creator! Forgiven! The true God avows, “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (See Isaiah 1:18). Now there’s a comforting doctrine that IS true, that has the support of scripture in abundance.
A tongue that uttered a thousand lies now speaks the truth. The hand that once stole now gives. The thoughtless is now considerate. Some noted wit of the past once said, “Facts are stubborn things.” And as some often say, “It is what it is.” The touch of the Master’s hand makes all the difference. Has He touched you in a wondrous way?
When I suffered from acid reflux, it was what it was. When God healed me it was no more. This is true of several other ailments and maladies. They were what they were, and they are no more. The only thing special about me is that I was an especially great sinner for an especially long period of time. I am merely an object of God’s grace, His limitless, measureless, incomprehensible grace. Let Allah put that in his pipe and smoke it.
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (See Jeremiah 33:3). Of course that promise was made specifically to Jeremiah the prophet. Still there is no respect of persons with God. As the old “gospel” song says, “What He’s done for others He’ll do for you.” Of course one must have a vital, on-going relationship with God first. One must meet the conditions for answered prayer first.
Here is another scripture that proves the inspiration of scripture: “As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me” (Jeremiah 33:22). More than one ancient writer thought they had numbered the stars. (I have written about this in an earlier article I penned some time ago). God is not given to exaggeration. He assured His faithful prophet Jeremiah that He would eventually multiply the number of princes and kings, as well as priests, to billions, trillions, a countless number! He is in the process of doing that right now, but is only in the very beginning of fulfilling that promise.
Folks, we are on the ground floor of God’s great plan of the ages. We are at the start of this plan, not the tail end. When Jesus Christ returns He is not going to say, “Gentlemen, it’s closing time. It’s over.” He is going to say, “Now let us begin to get the Father’s job done.” Most preachers have it wrong, because they “quote the party line,” so to speak. Putting a handful of scriptures together, while overlooking scores and scores of other inspired texts, they erroneously think God is trying His best to get the world saved right now. Why can’t they see that if that is the case God is failing miserably in what He intended to do???
God says He is going to return Sodom and Gomorrah, and all like peoples, to their former estate, bringing them back to life to a world not unlike the world they knew when they first lived on this earth so that they won’t suffer mind-boggling culture shock. (See Ezekiel 16:55). Those ancient people are not roasting in hell right now, having been in such a place for thousands of years already. They are DEAD and await a resurrection to life. God’s Word says these ancients will remember their ways and be ashamed (verse 61, same chapter). They will realize how deceived and wrong they were. This holds true for all others who lived and died gripped in inescapable deceit and confusion.
To say that God is fair is a gross understatement. God is much more than fair. He is much more than just equitable and reasonable. He is a Creator of unparalleled goodness and mercy. As I have stated so many times before, none will ever be able to shake their fist in God’s face and say, “I was never given a fair shake. I never even heard of such a thing as salvation or a possibility of living eternally.”
God’s Spirit limits visitors to my website as He knows I write on matters few can receive. Why try to explain the theory of relativity to a three year old child. He cannot receive what you are saying. Most ministers cannot receive what I am saying. That is why out of the hundreds I wrote and to whom I sent articles only a handful responded and some of them said, “I don’t agree with what you write.” When one is steeped in error the truth sounds like falsehood to such a mind. A Roman Catholic priest cannot accept what a Methodist minister believes and vice versa. What I write is not for all, but for a very few. That is why Jesus Christ Himself spoke in parables, NOT to make Himself clearer to those who heard Him, but to actually conceal what He was actually saying to all but those earnestly desiring and searching for the truth. (See Matthew 13:10-17). Most preachers believe the very opposite of what Jesus is saying in this text. They think Jesus spoke in parables to make His meaning clearer, using language the common folk could grasp and understand! WRONG!
I awakened some time ago with the compulsion to write and expound on a few scriptures. God prolongs my life, my health, my energy for a reason. His Spirit demands that I do what He has called, anointed and equipped me to do and that is to teach the Word of God faithfully and correctly. And I am sure as I lay dying one of the last thoughts that will be in my mind is the thought, “Why ME, Lord?”
Christ’s servant (Galatians 1:10),
I am walking, talking, living PROOF that Jesus Christ still heals His faithful followers of any and all maladies, illnesses and diseases yet today. Listen, if I don’t have the faith to believe my Lord will heal my physical body while I yet live, how on earth can I have the faith to believe He will resurrect me from the grave when I am dead!!!! Lying on my deathbed I would be scared silly that this is the utter end, that there is nothing beyond this life and this world.
I feel as well today as I felt ten or twenty years ago! From time to time I experience the customary pains and limitations of anyone in advancing age. The apostle Paul conceded that “we that are in this tabernacle (fleshly bodies) do groan, being burdened” (See 2 Corinthians 5:4). We do experience sicknesses and ailments and injuries like other men. He spoke of how the “outward man” was perishing. Yes, our bodies do wear out to one degree or another. We are physical, aging beings. But he also wrote “that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men (depending upon their healing arts), but in the power of God (to both hear and answer our prayers for healing)” (See I Corinthians 2:5). And he also urged believers to mimic father Abraham who “staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able also to perform” (See Romans 4:20-21).
In countless articles, emails and website postings I have quoted text after Bible text that proves God will hear and answer the prayer for healing if offered up in faith by an obedient follower. God have mercy on and forgive the worldly-minded preachers and pastors who preach sermons that turn men and women away from believing God’s promises for healing. They will answer one day for their unfaithfulness and spurning of His Word and promises.
The apostle Paul declared that “the Word of God works effectually (or is effective) in you that believe” (See I Thessalonians 2:13). Do you want to insult God? Doubt His word. Your doubting suggests that God is a liar. Run to a man and throw your money at him and trust that man to heal you. He will make you no promise and will probably have you sign a form that releases him from any responsibility if you die from his treatment!
Think me a fool if you wish in such matters, but I’ll be blowing out a lot more birthday candles than many of my readers.
The apostle Paul had a fellow laborer named Epaphroditus, who became gravely ill and was nearing death. Notice what Paul wrote about this man: “I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and companion in labor, and fellow soldier, but our messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that you had heard that he had been sick. For indeed he was sick NIGH UNTO DEATH, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow…..when you see him again you may rejoice.” God had healed him. (See Philippians 2:25-28). And God is no respecter of persons. What he did for Paul and Epaphroditus he will do FOR YOU, and for me.
The Spirit of the Lord again witnesses to my heart and mind, “Don Wiley, you have the petition you have laid before your Lord. You are healed! Go your way rejoicing and tell others what the Lord has done for you.”
Christ’s Servant (Galatians 1:10),
Don’t just tell me what you believe. Tell me WHY you believe it. Few who cling to Sunday observance can tell you why they do so, other than to say, “We honor Christ’s resurrection by observing Sunday as a holy day,” or they will say, “Christians have always observed Sunday as the Lord’s Day,” or “All these Christians can’t be wrong!” Ask them what scriptures they use as their authority and most look at you with a blank look. Some will have a text or two they will quote that seemingly authorizes their stand, but when one quotes to them a plethora of scripture that reveals their erroneous thinking their steely-eyed look lets you know instantly that they are not listening, nor are they receiving what you say.
The Mormon boys that used to visit me often showed me that vacant look when I quoted scriptures to them that revealed their many errors and doctrinal blunders. Once a Mormon, always a Mormon. Once a_________, always a _________. You can fill in those blanks with any denomination you wish. Most folks never change their religious beliefs or affiliations. They just don’t. They are complacent as to their peril. “Well, that’s the way Mom (or Dad, or Billy Graham) believed and that’s the way I believe, and that’s that.” It’s like the man driving in the absolute wrong direction to get to his destination who refuses to pull over and look at a map. He just keeps driving and driving and driving not realizing he is going further and further away from the destination he desires
God preserves my life and heals me again and again for a purpose. He has filled my mind with His sacred word. He has given me the talent to write convincingly and effectively. He has anointed me to teach His word. In His great compassion He desires earnestly to open the eyes of those blinded by Satan’s clever deceptions. But He will not force feed the truth to anyone any where at any time. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Christ’s Servant (Galatians 1:10),
Thousands of years ago God, through His prophet Jeremiah, said something truly astounding. Here is what He said: “Thus saith the LORD, ‘If heaven above can be measured and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done….'” (See Jeremiah 31:37). It wasn’t until the 20th Century and the scientific astronomical technology provided by various observatories, the Hubble telescope, and space exploration spacecraft such as Voyager I and Voyager 2, as well as the Mariner space exploration spacecraft, that men came to realize that, in truth, heaven cannot be measured. It is seemingly infinite. And it wasn’t until recent centuries that men learned that truly the earth has no foundations, that it is a planetary globe hanging in space.
God inspired the prophet Isaiah to write: “It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth” (See Isaiah 40:22). It would be thousands of years before men realized that this earth truly was circular in form and shape.
And in Job 26:7, we read, “He hangs the earth upon NOTHING!” It is only through divine illumination and inspiration these ancients knew the earth was a globe, hanging suspended in space and that the heavens above could not be measured they were so vast!
Truly, the fool has said in his heart there is no God! And comparing the Koran to the Bible is similar to one comparing a first grader’s Tom and Jane book to the encyclopedia Britannica.
